Our Story

Hi, my name is Tony Rhodes and I’m the proprietor of Bespoke Gardening & General Maintenance. I have been operating now for approximately 20 years in the Frinton on Sea and local areas. The business has gone from strength to strength and I have a many regular happy customers who have remained loyal to me over the past 6 years including the past 18 months living through a pandemic.
I decided on this adventure when I made the decision to end a long carer as an operations manager. This has been the best decision I have made, and I enjoy the variety of what the job offers as well as spending much of my time outside in the fresh air. I work alongside a team of other professional contractors in the local area this enables me to offer a wider service to my customers.

I offer a personalised service tailor made to suite the individual customer’s needs. I believe myself to be trustworthy, hardworking, friendly and dedicated to my customers. I offer fair and competitive hourly rates as well as fixed prices for the bigger projects.

Featured Work
Bespoke gardening service – I offer a full service which ranges from basic grass cutting to designing, planting and potting up of floral displays for each of our four seasons. I work with the customer to inspire and transform their garden area into a tranquil space for relaxation and enjoyment. For the less able-bodied customers I will even source and collect plants on their behalf. Following the pandemic and three very difficult lock downs I believe our gardens to have the power of healing to boost our mental health and wellbeing.
General Maintenance – I cover a wide range of services which includes cleaning out guttering, fitting new guttering and pipework, assembling sheds and summer houses, patio cleaning and renovation, painting of decking and fencing. I also offer an indoor service which includes a basic plumbing service for example fitting new tapes, hanging of picture and mirrors and painting. These are just a few of the services I can offer. Bigger jobs would involve the team around me when more manpower would be needed.
House Clearance – I offer an ongoing house clearance service for the bereaved and local letting agencies.
Fencing – Fencing jobs are undertaken this includes the planning, sourcing, assembling and the fitting of garden gates.
